On the day of the procedure, you will be given a PRINTED COPY of these instructions & all the nescessry supplies to help you with proper AFTERCARE.
1. Touch the area as little as possible & with clean hands ONLY! Every morning & night, gently wash the area with soapy water & pat dry with a clean paper towel.
2. Using a Q-tip, apply a THIN VEIL of After Care Ointment to the brow area 2 times a day (am/pm) for 10 DAYS after the procedure. As a rule do this immediately after you wash your face.
3. IF the After Care you were provided with irritates you skin, gives you a rash, or may be causing an allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately & apply VASELINE instead. Call the office.
4. Avoid applying any astringents, exfoliants, retinol, AHA/glycolic acid or whitening products to the brow area for 3 weeks after the procedure.
5. Do not attempt to rub, scratch or pick away any crust along the brow area! Early removal of pigment crusts will result in areas of insufficient colour.
6. Although you may quickly wash your face & take a shower, only MINIMAL exposure to all forms of water is advised for 1st WEEK after treatment.
7. Avoid all sun exposure (including tanning beds). When the area is completely healed, use sun-block / UVA & UVB protection daily, as sun exposure will prematurely fade your new brows.
8. In order to tone down the initial intensity of your brows, you may apply face powder to the area (on top of the After Care Ointment).
9. If you experience itching, you may apply Hydrocortisone Cream to soothe the area.
No two sides of the face are exactly the same. Although we strive to make your brows look very balanced, PERFECT symmetry may not be possible due to bone structure or facial expression.

If you have an existing eyebrow tattoo from another artist that is too dark or uneven it is best to have that work REMOVED prior to any additional MicroPigmentation. Attempts at correction without removal can be very disappointing. Your old tattoo should look very faded for optimal results.

Permanent Cosmetics are applied underneath the skin. If you have lots of grey/white or very blonde eyebrow hair you will still need to periodically tint / dye your existing brows.

Cosmetic tattoos will heal lighter & not as defined on DARK SKIN types (ie: Indian, African American, Filipino). Depending on your make-up needs, MicroPigmentation may not be the solution for you.

Nano, Feather, 3D Brows & Microblading will loose definition & blur-out over time; meaning the hair-like strokes eventually start to resemble solid colour. This is universal for all tattoo results, regardless of technique.

NOTE: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle. Please plan accordingly.
VERY IMPORTANT: Discontinue use of Latisse (or any other lash growth serum) minimum 8 weeks prior to the procedure & for 1 month after. These products increase vascularity of the eyelid, leading to severe bleeding & bruising during the procedure.

Eyelash extension MUST be removed 1 week before Top Eyeliner procedure & can only be reapplied once the tattoo is fully healed (2 weeks after).

Avoid vigorous exercise the day of the procedure.

Limit caffeine & other stimulants day of the procedure.

Do not drink any alcohol for 48 hrs before your appointment.

No Aspirin, Advil or Ibuprofen (unless medically necessary), 48 hrs prior to your procedure. Tylenol is fine.

Limit blood thinning agents such as Fish Oil, Garlic, Niacin, Vitamin E & D, Ginkgo Biloba, Q10 etc for 2 WEEKS before the procedure.

Arnica Montana 200ch homeopathic tablets taken 1 week before & 1 week after treatment may help reduce bruising & swelling.

Do not tan or come with a sun burnt face.

If you use contact lenses, you will need to remove them before we start the tattoo. Bring your glasses for after.
On the day of the procedure, you will be given a PRINTED COPY of these instructions & all the nescessry supplies to help you with proper AFTERCARE.
1. Following the procedure a cold compress will be placed on your eyes. At home, if you wake up with very puffy eyes, you may ice the area each morning for the first 2-3 days. Frozen peas in a small ziplock bag work well. Wrap the bag in a damp paper towel and compress applying gentle pressure for 10 min. This will help minimize swelling.
2. To help control discomfort & swelling, you may also choose to take an oral anti-inflammatory agent (ie: Advil, Ibuprofen, or an antihistamine).
3. Touch the area as little as possible & with clean hands ONLY! Every morning & night, gently wash the area with soapy water & pat dry with a clean paper towel.
4. Using a Q-tip, apply a THIN VEIL of After Care Ointment to the eyeliner area 2 to 3 times a day for 10 DAYS after the procedure. As a rule do this immediately after you wash your face. CAUTION: Avoid getting ointment IN your eye!
5. IF the After Care you were provided with irritates you skin, gives you a rash, or may be causing an allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately & apply VASELINE instead. Call the office.
6. Avoid the use of mascara for the first 5 days. An old tube of mascara may have bacteria growing in it.
7. Do not attempt to rub, scratch or pick away any crust along the eye area! Early removal of pigment crusts will result in areas of insufficient colour.
8. Although you may quickly wash your face & take a shower, only MINIMAL exposure to all forms of water is advised for 1st WEEK after treatment.
IMPORTANT: If you are using prescription prostaglandin analog medications / drops for glaucoma (Xalatan, Lumigan, Travatan etc.) you are NOT a condidate for eyeliner treatment.
Permanent cosmetics sit underneath the skin. Consequently they will appear muted after healing occurs. (Your black eyeliner will look charcoal/soft-black; dark brown eyeliner will become soft-medium brown etc.) Please keep in mind, very dark results such as "liquid-eyeliner-black" or "true-back" are not attainable with Cosmetic Tattooing.

Note: you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle. Please plan accordingly.

If you have severely hooded upper eyelids (covered crease/"asian eyes") or a lot of skin laxity right at the lash line, you may not be a good candidate for Top Eyeliner since results may be hidden by the folding tissue. Please check with us first & submit a photo for review.

Cosmetic tattoo results will appear significantly lighter & not as bold or defined on DARK SKIN tones (ie: East Indian, African American, Filipino). Depending on your make-up needs & skin type, MicroPigmentation may not be the solution for you.

MicroPigmentation is an art, not a science. Outcome will vary depending on skin condition & type, lifestyle & aftercare. Results are not guaranteed, espacially on problematic skin.
For best results, it's imperative that you come with soft, moisturized lips. If you are prone to dryness, exfoliate lips with either a home-made sugar scrub or damp toothbrush for 4 nights prior to treatment. Gently scrub lips for 2 min then apply a thick layer of Vaseline, Aquaphor or Raw Honey, cover with cellophane & let sit for 15 min.

If you have EVER had cold-sores / herpes on or around the lips, you MUST obtain PRESCRIPTION VALTREX 500mg or ZOVIRAX 400mg PILLS from your Doctor. You will need about 18 pills in total. Start by taking 2 pills the night before the procedure. Continue by taking 2 pills in the morning & 2 pills at night until the area is free of scabbing. If you fail to take this anti-viral medication, the tattoo will stimulate an outbreak, which can compromise your results.

4. Using a Q-tip, apply a THIN VEIL of After Care Ointment to the lips as needed (every 2 - 3 HOURS) for 2 WEEKS after the procedure.
5. After the area exfoliates, it will continue to feel & look very dry for another 2 - 3 WEEKS. Be patient. Moisturize your lips with Vaseline, A&D Ointment or Shea Butter as needed.
6. IF the After Care you were provided with irritates you skin, gives you a rash, or may be causing an allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately & apply VASELINE instead. Call the office.

We strongly suggest anyone considering MicroPigmentation for the Lips submit a photo for review, fill out our online consultation form OR schedule an in-person consultation (fee $50). Not all colours are attainable with Cosmetic tattooing. We want to make sure our service can give you the results you have envisioned for your lips.

If your inherent lip color is naturally dark, brown, pigmented or uneven due to pigmentation you are NOT a good candidate for Lip treatment. Unlike regular cosmetics, Permanent Make-Up sits underneath the outer layers of the skin & hence will not cover existing skin tone. In certain cases, tattooing an already dark lip can turn it even darker as it can stimulate additional melanin production in the skin. For these reasons, anyone with an ethnic background or DARK SKIN tone, will need special clearance before reserving a treatment.
